I sewed an (astronaut?)hoodie today and enjoyed the combination of diffuser and fan.

I don't know what I did with this denim fabric years ago,
but I'm going to pair it with that old 100% cotton bedsheet I got for 1€.
It's picked up some mildew stains over the years.
I'm bleaching it and start pieching the puzzle together.

I've realized something simple but important:
if I can't see my materials, I forget they exist.
No matter how carefully I sort and store them, once they're packed away in boxes, they're gone from my creative radar.
Some people start with a clear idea & go looking for the right fabric to match.
Others see a finished piece and feel inspired to recreate it.
But for me, it's the fabric itself that speaks first.
When I see it, touch it, explore it, the idea starts to take shape on its own.
Once I'm holding it, I already know what it's meant to become.
I just need to make it real.
So I've started pulling my neatly stored scarps out of their hiding places,
packing them into soft waxed cotton bags. Now, when I'm ready to create,
I just pour them out and let the process unfold.
(These bags are from Puebco and are called "Grocery Bag".)

Turning someone's trash into my treasure is one of my favorite things.
Got these slides for 10€ and fixed them up.

I created a Neocities blog to teach myself HTML. Unfortunately, I became too fond of my own minimalist design before I learned very much.

It came apart and became more beautiful.

Found a fur collar while organizing things. Might try turning it into an Astro Coat a la Helmut Lang. (Or let it lie in the plastic bag for years.)

I’m sure it was never in a better place.

The Nikon cam I found a few days ago.

I took the photos with it.

When I got back home, I just wanted to throw everything out.
